Reporter mice, producing in vivo a biomarker easily detected with imaging techniques, are going to revolutionize the way biological processes can be studied.
Signals are quantitative and are generated with a fast kinetics, enabling the visualization of molecular events in real time, in all the organs, with high precision.

The use of reporter models increases ethical standards of animal research, because the used techniques are non invasive, and this means a reduction of both the stress caused to the mice and of the number of animals required for gathering the necessary information.
Services and products
repTOP™ mouse models allow a direct visualization of drug action in vivo, leading to a new perspective in drug discovery in which pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics are combined. Thanks to the SATURN validation, readouts are stable across different tissues and organs, different ages and sexes. This means that the system is suitable for the detection of even subtle differences in drug action between the sexes, to study activity in elderly animals and to monitor effects during pregnancy and fetal life. Furthermore, crossing repTOP™ mice with human disease mouse models, including age-related degenerative diseases, allows direct detection of the efficacy of pharmacological compounds in such conditions.
