Research groups at CeRSA work on several projects mainly focused on food safety, traceability and genetic improvement for sustainable crops and livestock production.

Scientific Director Dr. John Williams was hired by Parco Tecnologico Padano in 2007, with a project funded by Fondazione Cariplo, after several years as Director of a Research Section of Roslin Institute in Scotland.
